Nashville: Girl's Weekend

This weekend I had some of my oldest girlfriends in town.  We ate a lot and did some serious shopping.  It was fun to catch up with old friends.Today I’m going to share some fun things for you and the ladies to do next time you’re in Nashville.  There are so many great options that it’s hard to boil them down but here are some of my favorites.
Dinner:
Josephine’s on 12th – Josephine’s has a great bar area complete with a lounge making it the perfect place to get a specialty cocktail before dinner.  We ordered a few small plates and meat and fish portions to split amongst the group.  Each guest is given a small box of cookies tied with red and white twine as a thank you for dining.  Nice touch.
Merchant’s – It’s located right on Broadway downtown.  I love eating downstairs at Merchant’s.  The vibe is very old school and the food is wonderful.  You know you can’t go wrong anywhere that serves duck fat fried tater tots.  Merchant’s is the perfect spot to grab dinner if you’re interested in grabbing a drink at one of the local honky tonks afterwards.
Lockeland Table – Lockeland Table is a quaint little neighborhood restaurant in East Nashville.  They have a wonderful menu and their food always tastes very fresh.  They have a great bar area perfect for grabbing a post- or pre-dinner drink.
Brunch:
Adele’s Nashville – Adele’s food is complimented by it’s wonderful venue.  Belly up to the bar or sit outside on their skyline patio.  Adele’s is housed in an old tire center and has maintained the urban feel of the original space.
Pinewood Social – Pinewood Social is a mess of things, between bowling, an outdoor pool, and an airstream bar, there is a lot going on.  But, it works!  Pinewood social is a fun spot to gather with friends.  You can sit at the bar, book a private room, rent a lane, or sit at one of the many quaint sitting areas set up with couches and coffee tables. The food is comparable to the atmosphere and will not disappoint.
Marche – This is hands down my favorite place to get brunch in Nashville! You will likely encounter a wait at Marche but grab one of their yummy coffee drinks and look around at some of the local products by some of Nashville’s artisans.

To Do:
Mokara Spa: Head downtown to the Omni to enjoy a massage and some relaxation at the Mokara Spa.  Each massage comes with a complimentary glass of champagne and access to the rooftop pool. The lounge area provides the perfect place to catch up and have some good old fashioned girl time.
Franklin, TN – just outside of Nashville is a quaint little town, Franklin, TN.  Franklin has great antique shopping, boutiques and tasty restaurants.  It’s a great place to spend the morning or afternoon.
Arrington Vineyards – Nestled in the Arrington hills just outside of Nashville, Arrington Vineyard is a beautiful place to enjoy the views and local wine.  Pack a picnic before heading out and enjoying Music in the Vines and wonderful setting.
